Willpower

In memory of Jasmina Radosavac

One of the spiritual teachings that my dear friend Jasmina always talked about was Willpower. I once asked her what she meant by the word Willpower. She then suggested that I look up the meaning of the word because she encouraged her students to become self sufficient in their spiritual practices.

The dictionary defines Willpower as “control exerted to do something or restrain impulses.”

I contemplated this word for some time. The definition seemed subjective and that it could relate to a wide variety of topics. However, I couldn’t see the usage within spirituality and conjure.

During my spiritual path, I have come across a lot of envy, jealousy, nightmares, enemies and evil eye. It then dawned on me what Jasmina truly meant. She was the sort of mentor that wanted you to put in the work and see what she was putting down. Even though she has passed onto the realm of Spirit, I find that she is still encouraging and teaching me.

Willpower is the opposite of fear. It is strength. It is faith in your spiritual path. It is the courage of falling down and getting back up. It is resiliency and unwavering unity of self and spirituality. It is building a relationship with your ancestors and guiding spirits. It is building up a wall of protection around yourself.

If you create a strong fortress of protection, nobody can knock you down. This is why working with one’s ancestors is so important. They are your spiritual warriors. They are a legion of thousands waiting for you to make contact.

With the use of willpower, negative-minded people, evil eye and magic won’t be able to affect you. In fact, your spirits will notify you of the negative glitch before they give the energy right back to the sender.

As I’ve stated before, fear is a tag lock. A lot of spiritual workers that may be throwing magic at you will try to provoke you. They will threaten or try to persuade you into a fear-based mentality. This is where willpower comes in. Willpower along with your spiritual allies is your strongest defense against enemies.
